Located in Sydney’s oldest neighbourhood, this boutique hotel, and established in 1887 on the site of the city’s first hospital, it invites you to delve into its intriguing past, which enjoying the hotel’s unique charm.

It’s chic rooms – of which there are 59 in total – all have free Wi-Fi and flat-screens, along with minibars, and tea and coffeemakers, and upgraded rooms add iPod docks, sitting areas and/or sofabeds – which some suites also offering awesome harbour views. Room service is also available, and there's a hip bar/restaurant featuring exposed stone walls, as well as a trendy lobby lounge with a library.

You’ll also be perfectly placed to enjoy all the cool pots that Sydney’s CBD and harbour area has to offer. Once a bustling area filled with sailors and brothels, The Rocks has transformed into a vibrant hub of cafes and shops, yet it still echoes with the footsteps of the past. Circular Quay, the Museum of Contemporary Art and several dining and nightlife options are only a short walk away, and the Royal Botanical Gardens, and the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House are a lovely 10-minutes walk from your accomodation.

Beware though, you might run into a ghostly resident or two. One of the most famous is Eric, a heartbroken seafarer forever searching for his beloved Scarlett, who tragically passed away just days before their wedding. Guests often report eerie experiences – flickering shadows, phantom footsteps in the night, and fleeting glimpses of Eric's ghost roaming the cobblestone streets. 

It’s still worth a visit though, so the best thing is to just embrace the haunting elegance of Harbour Rocks Hotel, where every corner holds a story waiting to be told.
